Recommendations: If you would like to have some quality of life improvements, new content , and characters, play the Enhanced Edition.
Gameplay: (from bg1 review: Never would have believed dnd mechanics could be translated into real time gameplay like this and work.
Great story, great combat, great companions, great quests.
Good music and much more voice acting.
Another thing is that while the romance in Baldur's Gate 2 is a lot more fleshed out, it can be buggy, as I had to manually spawn NPCs to further the romance questline for Jaheira, and even then, I still had to use a couple more console commands to continue the quests.
OG BG2 player here, love the EE version, a lot of bug fixes & graphics change over the original DVD days!
