Lost in Random: The Eternal Die

The relic system is really great and adds a good layer of customisation and build building to the genre, but on the other hand weapons upgrades are very limited with some just being kinda bad.

Upgrades grant substantial boosts, but force you to specialize so melee and dice oriented runs will feel very different.

The biggest reason this series intrigues me is that my other main hobby is board games, and seeing so many board game pieces in the artwork and also woven into the story is such a cool thing!

Not just because of the art style or world design (which are both fantastic), but because Lost in Random: The Eternal Die is incredibly well optimized for the Steam Deck right out of the box.

In addition it suits younger and new players in roguelikes genre for it’s quality and difficulty level.

The world-building, lore and voice acting are great, and the best example is the cutscenes, which are impressive and beautifully crafted, but also all the characters are very charismatic and charming.
