Yes there's some sort of story and same lore which is a good thing because in my opinion developers built and excellent lore with the first game and can easily expand it into several games and spin-offs.
I don't even know what to say regarding gameplay...well it's like Hades, literally.
Not just because of the art style or world design (which are both fantastic), but because Lost in Random: The Eternal Die is incredibly well optimized for the Steam Deck right out of the box.
Music is forgettable but voice acting is really good.
I played this entirely on Steamdeck OLED, it runs perfectly at 90 fps with next to 0 drops and no tinkering required.
During each run, you also need to pay attention to how you arrange the relics in your inventory, as matching relics in specific arrangements grant bonuses.
