The result is a peaceful, absorbing pastime built around the joy of discovery rather than difficulty, and in its quiet way it becomes surprisingly engaging.
Each scene drops you into an illustrated version of Rome, rendered as a sprawling hand-drawn landscape filled with iconic architecture, bustling alleys, cozy cafés, fountains, and tiny narrative details that emerge the longer you look.
The whole is truly cozy and engaging; we do get the different game maps accompanied by cozy BGM and sound effects to match the different settings, particularly appreciated the bit of voices added to the game sounds, so that we can experience a bit of immersion coming to the displayed scenes.
However, the same qualities that make the game soothing can also limit its appeal for those seeking deeper or more varied gameplay.
