What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
🕹 Length: 15–20 hours (main story) | 30+ hours with extras, DLC & unlockables
Buying weapons, upgrading them, finding treasures, and carefully managing your inventory through the attaché case creates an addictive gameplay loop that still feels fantastic nearly two decades later.
🎨 Graphics: Still impressive thanks to excellent art direction and the Ultimate HD Edition enhancements.
The interaction of space, texture and sound-design into what we consider to be believable and simultaneously interesting places are understood perfectly and convey a continuously thick atmosphere of tension and mystery, even when an area is seemingly void of any enemies.
I would also recommend a controller.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
