Despite slight grind and repetitive play to unlock new stages, minesweeper mechanics are fun enough to get you to the ending.
I found it to be a bit too easy when playing on the default difficulty setting (at least in the first world), which feels strange to say about something clearly meant to be relaxing, but luckily there are multiple difficulty sliders that can be adjusted separately to get the game to your liking (do you want harder/easier tap timing mini games or harder/easier minesweeping?).
