I find the story of the game interesting, and that's why I always play the game through even if it gets slow and tedious later.

Unlike many party-based RPGs, Septerra Core ensures you care about every character—because their unique dialogue and roles are tied into gameplay progression.

The 2.5D graphics, while outdated, have their charm and still catch the eye.

First, it has great voice acting, some of the finest I've ever seen from that era of video games.

A game with character design this good, with an aesthetic this compelling, shouldn't have to single-handedly buoy some of the most frustrating gameplay and writing I've ever seen in a game I've paid for.

This creates a sense of rhythm rather than pure menu navigation, and choosing when to strike—immediately or after storing more power—adds a small but meaningful strategic layer.
