What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
When translated to their new remastered versions, the graphics look absolutely stunning.
The exception here is for writing and signs which are definitely better and for the most part easily readable.
Gameplay enhancements focus on making the controls smoother and more intuitive for modern audiences.
Oh and having retro GFX at high FPS was a nice surprise for these remasters.
Its plot barely makes sense (partially because the original was so rushed they had to cut half the game), the controls are clunky beyond saving, the voice acting is mid, the strength upgrades feel like an afterthought, and the whole game has exactly 3 locations that might be generously considered tombs (stretched out over 9/30 levels, some of which are basically one puzzle room and a corridor).
After last year's success, Lara Croft returns once again with second remastered trilogy, bringing even more action, a more complex storyline, higher difficulty, and much more intricate puzzles.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
