Co-op worked fine and only encountered one freezing bug which left my character frozen mid-air and the boss was stuck in a looping animation.

If you've played classic fighters such as Streets of Rage series, Final Fight (some moves are just plain unrealistic + combat is faster than old Double Dragon) and especially Double Dragon (since it's still a bit methodical with its combat) - you basically know what you're getting into.

The story is ridiculous in the best way possible (in the vein of all great action films from the '70s, '80s, and first half of the '90s), and the soundtrack is amazing (Jake Kaufman, take a bow) and very well-designed to suit the aesthetics of the stages and environments.
