I've only played through it once at the time of this writing but I plan to go through all the paths to chill and learn more about Japan.
Play wise, the CGs were nice, soundtrack was so-so, and the game play and plot itself was entertaining; there are quite a few funny moments that feel like they're straight out of an anime, and in addition to the whole travel scenario, which is the main focus of the game, there is also a romance plot underlying the whole thing that is very simple but a cool extra.
The versions with DLCs add more locations and polish — better visuals, more variety so your “tour” feels less repetitive.
The map screen is very easy to navigate with brief descriptions for each location.
Gameplay, there is none, no real interaction, so plot and visuals are important.
