What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Most of these finales aren't much different from standard events, but they do forward the story and then result in a mass upgrade to all your purchasable items and the small talent tree each of your fighters get to distinguish them in their role.
The gameplay follows in a similar set of footsteps – being both simple and elegant.
I played it from the top difficulty off the get go, and while it was certainly challenging in places, most of the difficulty came from not upgrading gear to the latest stuff.
Not only does it just scream 'ACTION', it complements its retro graphics quite nicely.
Has a pretty solid soundtrack, decent character customization and the in game humour / references are charming.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
