I hoped it would help me creating some simple maps for my D&D campaign quickly, but after playing with it for about an hour, I figured out that it takes much more time for me personally to create maps in Canvas of Kings, than it takes in software I usually use (Inkarnate, Dungeondraft).
Its hand-drawn style and custom weather or lighting options are a great starting point, but some key features—like dungeon or cave maps—are still missing.
