If i would compare it to a recent game (both in gameplay mechanics as well as its "readiness" state upon early-release), i would compare it to FBC: Firebreak with a dash of base-building and more character customization (heck, in many ways, Pizza Bandit plays better than FBC upon release - and at only half the price!).
Most of the time it plays like a co-op shooter (or action game?).
Also, the framerate isn’t great.
