Besides that, the game has an excellent blend of easier levels to get one used to the gameplay of this game, to more challenging ones ensuring that the game doesn't become dull / boring due to the difficulty of the game.

The game is part Classic Mario and Super Mario World, with it's mult-path levels (in most cases from what I've played) and it's for the most part, easy to learn and understand platforming with a reasonable pace speed wise that crrawls up difficulty wise as you go as well as collecting coins

As for the art design, it reminds me quite a bit of Wonder Boy's graphics.

The soundtrack, composed in an energetic chiptune style, is equally essential to the experience.

TL;DR: A short, slow-paced but pretty enjoyable retro-platformer, provided you buy it while it's on sale, are a big fan of the genre, have patience and good timing (granted, that's a lot of prerequisites, but I had fun! YMMV.) Also it's possible to play with a controller and I definitely recommend it!
