A great retro-style racer that captures the old games very well, providing great visuals and a really good sense of speed.
It's really well thought out and the tracks are a lot of fun. out of the box, this game works fine on steam deck and proton 9.
Works well on the Steam Deck - with 40 FPS the constant during gameplay and I am sure it can be improved with updates.
I have been playing on keyboard but I just ordered a controller to experience the full effect of this masterpiece in the making.
It's very well optimised, running at a constant 165 FPS on my 165hz monitor, good sound design, great music, and voice overs too.
Although some of the game modes are still in development, what is available already offers great value for money and plenty of challenge, with multiple, fun tracks of varying levels of difficulty and a number of cars to choose which also affect the overall level of difficulty.

Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
