Plastomorphosis

The visuals are stylish as hell (reduce the noise and pixelation in the settings menu though), the story is going places with its ambition (you won’t get all the answers in one game) and the setting is a bit unusual.

The levels are varied, the graphics are appealing, the gameplay is comforting & engaging, most bosses were fun & creative, using the flare gun was awesome and OP near the end, the notes were good, you can save without needing an item, the little voice acting I heard was suitable and welcome, the achievements were fun and I was just very interested to see how all of this would end.

The indie-game is an homage and love letter to the long gone CRT style video game graphics and also adapts modern ways of clue-finding to find a perfect symbiosis of retro-styled charmed and modern guided quest clues.

The combat style is - thanks a lot - very fluent and self explaining.

The sound design is often atmospheric and effective, and music enhances specific moments - but there's some very disconcerting sounds for some enemies (the mannequins in particular).
