Whether it’s single-player or multiplayer, every battle feels rewarding.
Pros: gameplay is substantive and establishes a good basis for the full game, diversity of units, fair difficulty, dialogue has bits of fun humor, characters are illustrated and units are animated the way you might expect from a GBA title, pixel art looks good, spectator mode is technically very cool, so is cross-device play (start on Steam Deck and pick up on mobile), smooth frame rate and runs responsively on Steam Deck.
Unit composition and variety is excellent, graphics and music are nice.
[Early Access] Athena Crisis is a lot of fun with lots of heart and potential and it runs very well on Steam Deck.
No Local Coop at this time this sucks, as playing local co-op or remote play together would be amazing!
