Story and characters

At a pinch, it's "Into the Breach" with less damaging consequences, more enjoyable characters, and well fleshed out abilities.

Looking forward to the completed version as I could easily give this another 20 hours of gameplay to explore different characters and builds.

- speaking of UX: Make it slightly easier to tell where players are clicking and the difference between which kinds of actions they're going to take if they left click wherever our cursor is (i've been duped by the game a couple of times either clicking on the wrong square, or taking an unintended action somehow). it's somewhat rare but you can see what i mean if a unit is below and behind a chunk of the map, and the part about it being a bit too easy to take unintended actions is i think a separate issue with how input controls combine with visuals/audio feedbck. the given ability to rotate the map helps yes and it is also an awesome feature which looks BEAUTIFUL, but i should be able to either see what's on the other side as well, or at least the visual highlighting shouldn't be misleading as to what's about to happen when i click... and in either case it should be something your eyes can differentiate from other actions very easily so you can just visually verify you're about to do the right thing than have to rotate all around and click a bunch of buttons just to determine which action your unit you're commanding will choose to take, especially considering the game loop is so short and tight. the more you can do to reduce excess actions required by players probably the better. some will argue keep it, it requires/shows skill. ehhhh slightly true!
