What players think
The recurring themes across 160 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
There are 8 different weapons, custom combo links to explore on your own, and a parry mechanic that remains thrilling even after 50 hours with the game.
The mechanics are friendly for mashing buttons if you want, but it's never boring.
A stellar 2D indie character action, with a heavy pace and a brutal difficulty.
And both of these genres wrapped in a rogue-like* and a pretty cool art style.
60FPS, 1080p is consistent, both KB+M and gamepad are used well, with custom options available, and the presentation overall is pretty damn good.
But where this game truly shines is its controls, animation, and sound design.
