For me it just felt like the original ports that had been made to be fully compatible with current hard and software, with up-scaled graphics and more multiplayer support.
Optional controller aim assist, which for most people is probably a skippable feature, is actually really cool for steam deck players (myself included) which as far as I know doesnt exist in the regular PC version.
I can play this release with family as the Steam Deck is the only console I own, and it worked great for both games on all game modes, so this is a good option for those who want a split screen experience on Steam and don’t have the know how to create that for the original PC ports.
