I paid $15 for this in Early Access with little to no reservations about 10 minutes after I found out it existed, because between my experience with the original and what I could see what they were doing via screenshots, gameplay, and positive reviews, I had complete faith this would be a banger, and it has absolutely delivered so far.
Lost Castle 2 successfully builds upon the foundation of its predecessor, delivering an addictive blend of roguelite progression, fast-paced beat-'em-up combat, and cooperative multiplayer action.
The art style is beautiful, the combat is fun, and unlocking new weapons and learning the mechanics kept me hooked for the first 20 to 30 hours.
Characters remind me a bit of Maple Story, they're cutesy little anime characters.
