What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector is a carefully crafted narrative RPG that expands the philosophy, systems, and emotional scope of its predecessor into something broader, riskier, and more mechanically confident.
I want to start off by saying I appreciate their attempt to expand the gameplay loop, but the implementation falls flat.
The soundtrack supports this mood with understated, atmospheric compositions that fade into the background during decision-making and swell gently during key emotional beats.
The visuals are still beautiful, but beyond that, there’s nothing else particularly impressive.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 4 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
