What players think
The recurring themes across 98 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Summary: I wish it was longer but all around a really good indie game with a great story and some crazy environments.
I'm very used to indie games and personal projects, both in games and in movies, so don't assume I was expecting much, take a look at another free game called NaissanceE, for example, that's a perfectly good indie game, and it's not using fancy UE4 graphics (that you can't configure in the menu, as I mentioned earlier) like this game does, and it's still at least AN ACTUAL GAME.
My only problem is that the serviceable yet predictable story gets told via loads of reading with a subpar translation and never connected to the rest of the gameplay or "ABEL"'s strengths in any meaningful way.
The shining thing ABEL has to offer is some pretty visuals and some very very good sound design.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
No recurring complaints surfaced in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
