What players think
The recurring themes across 137 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Decent atmosphere, lovely little inventory system, nice tension between needing to have the inventory open to reload and switch weapons and paying attention to whats around you.
Game overall has some decent production values, a good variety of enemies that threaten you in clever ways, a novel death mechanic where you respawn as a new person following the previous run's footsteps, and even a boss fight to top it all off.
Add on to that the fact that equipping weapons slows you down and reloading dumps any unused bullets away, and there are a lot of interesting tactical decisions to make for combat.
That would mean no rotated pixels in the game's screen with the largest resolution visuals.
Has difficulty without being onerous or annoying, and an intriguing story that's hinted at.
