Not only were the characters solid, but the writing and dialogue was amusing and very charming.

It had a very unique and satisfying battle system, with a really fun treasure hunting mechanic throughout the game that added a lot of engaging puzzles.

I enjoyed the combat loop of Soma Union more but it's genuinely inspiring to me how Torch 60 continues to make game-play I used to find pretty boring, genuinely interesting in it's depth in applications and uses.

I played on normal difficulty, and I found it to be extremely well balanced in that I was challenged but not overpowered by most of the bosses aside from a few surprises.

The soundtrack is also pretty good too, however I don't personally think any specific piece stands out as fantastic, but they are overall pleasant to listen to and fit the game's atmosphere and feel very well.
