Edit: Holy crap, you can run this easily on steam deck, you just have to switch to an older version proton: 6.3-8 (go into developer settings to do this) and change the resolution to the steam deck's resolution. (1280 x 800 if you didn't know) No other tinkering required and people have already made controller presets for the deck.
