It is a phenomenal example of what RPGs should aspire to: the dialogue is funny, the puzzles are actually challenging, the combat is engaging, the characters are interesting, the music sets the mood very well (and in some cases is just plain beautiful), and the universe is unique and immersive.

Boasting the weirdest character roster I've ever seen alongside world and story building that I haven't experienced since Deus Ex, Anachronox is the single greatest RPG I've ever played.

I'm playing on the Easy difficulty this go around, since that allows you to save anywhere (a must if you're playing portable), and I think maybe that's helping my enjoyment since I can just speed through almost every encounter.
