I've also experienced sudden frame drops, and while it's not as bad as the past it still takes me out of the game.
Firstly, short of reading the manual, there's no way to teach yourself how to play - selecting a game type throws you straight into gameplay.
The game runs on Unity 5, perhaps the most popular Graphics engine currently around.
That means all the kids, trolls, frenetic players and mainly all kind of online players you usually hate will leave soon, and only fine players willing to play properly will stay... and this is such a HUGE reward!!!
Now, something I really like in Verdun is the music, from the main menu track to the ones played in game, for me, they hit the perfect spot in setting myself in the mood, they're really immersive and sometimes I find myself waiting for the track to kick in so I can launch myself to the field and run towards the enemy trench.
