Best played as couch co-op but still amazing with screensharing online via something like steam remote play. 1-4 people can control 2-4 characters in either a story-driven campaign or one-shot missions taken from the campaign plus a couple extra ones.

The skill cards, fortune cards, trinkets, and weapons all made a huge customizable impact on the gameplay and felt truly key to creating a solid strategy between the characters.

Sunderfolk is a fun but challenging turn based tactical rpg, the characters look and feel unique and every character has some connection to the townsfolk. story is also good.

Normal difficulty was perfect for this group ... until the final boss.

These design choices that make your campaign feel unique, and with each playable character feeling meaningfully different, contributes to great replayability.

i think some quality of life changes here and there are missing, inventory management is a pain, combat is fun, but sadly not too deep. i think it woulde been better to have an ability deck that you draw from rather than only 4 set abilities.
