Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments

At the time, I was probably too young to fully appreciate what it offered, but revisiting it now and finally completing the entire story has been an absolute joy.

Despite these technical shortcomings, the gameplay mechanics, particularly the puzzles and detective work, more than made up for the frustrations.

The graphics have aged well for a 2014 barring a few texture glitches.

-some voice acting could seem a bit silly (Holmes‘ and Dr Watson’s are superb!) -I would have loved to play in third-person pov but Sherlock’s arms swing unnaturally while walking.

The textures are flickering and the game crashes frequently, however it's fun and the difficulty is neither too low nor too high

It was actually very smart to have the deduction and inventory part available during loading scenes, and the loading was not awfully long, but they are so frequent, that they annoyed we after the first 2 cases.
