Story and characters
Players who bring up Story and characters mostly praise it.
Many people, myself included, feel that Marathon 2 has the best campaign out of the Marathon trilogy; there's an excellent story, varied level objectives, fun combat, and an interesting setting (you're exploring the ruins of an alien civilization).

Performance
Players who bring up Performance mostly praise it.
Classic Marathon 2 overall, however, is a fun game to play, yet sometimes repetitive and it does get boring and tedious if being played for a long time, but is a good FPS game to play in short bursts!

Graphics
Players who bring up Graphics mostly praise it.
The game offers some good graphics, although some ugly glitches here and there, it is pleasant all the same

Audio
Players who bring up Audio mostly praise it.
I highly recommend via steam workshop you get the Talashar soundtrack (Do this for Marathon Infinity as well) because the default game doesn't have a score outside of the catchy menu theme.

Gameplay
Players who bring up Gameplay mostly praise it.
The devs made sure that even though this release is using an upgraded game engine that can run on modern systems, the gameplay is still true to the original.

Definitely a lot of fun especially with a friend in coop.
