What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The story is fine and kept me engaged up until this point but because of the way the map is structured (almost a 10x10 grid where you can play any level adjacent to one you've cleared) the story snippets can get duplicated/out of order if you don't go radially outward from the starting point (which basically defeats the point of letting the player choose what levels to do).
The core gameplay loop is solid.
+ Great soundtrack / music.
-Crisp, charming pixel visuals
It has everything I expect - an engaging core gameplay loop, upgrades and powerups, twitchy gameplay without feeling too punishing, and a pick-up and put-down type bite sized pacing that means I can play a little bit here and there when I need to kill a bit of time on my steamdeck or just feel eager to grab some more gemstones.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 4 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
