What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The cutscenes are well directed and just fun to watch (with few awkward scenes here and there), and I enjoyed the banter between Gabriel and other characters.
The combat is more fast-paced and feels a lot smoother, you can now dash and leap during fights with more ease and greater accuracy, and you can drain the blood of your enemies to heal.
Still, if you skip the city stealth and focus on bosses + castle exploration, it’s a solid 15-hour hack-and-slash.
The lighting is great, and some of the areas nailed it with the game's gothic atmosphere.
The composer, Oscar Araujo, did a fantastic job with the game’s soundtrack, while sticking with the style and tone of the previous two games.
