What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
the game focuses on one playable character, which is a departure for the series but the weapon movesets seem so good that they sorta make up for it, for me. but yea thats a thing. its a different game content wise. but at the same time, it feels like a natural and amazing evolution with its large scale battles and combat. the story is pretty damn engaging and kinda coolest in the whole series to me.
As for the gameplay, it's utterly addictive.
The graphics are improved and I had no performance issues.
There is not a single dull piece of music in the entire soundtrack.
A few improvements I'd like to see is a better indicator of parry timing, gets really confusing against some officers, and of course the return of a co-op mode with even harder battles for multiple players to strategize through!
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
