It actually has a really awesome approach to mixed stealth and action gameplay, with soft-failure (in most cases) and the ability to regain stealth after partial failures.
Combat itself is very smooth.
Ubisoft managed to take an incredibly rich, high potential concept that they'd even done partially correct once before and turn it into a god-awful bottom of the barrel grind-a-thon with pretty graphics.
