What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
As you play, there are 3 other unlockable characters: 'Couch Guy' AKA Kyle Justin, the theme song creator for AVGN; 'M*therf*cker Mike' AKA Mike Matei who helped write episodes, played various goofy characters and mainly, his character in this was featured in Board James -- a sort of 'spin-off' of AVGN which delves into tabletop board games; and finally, 'B.S.
The game itself conveys a traditional 8-Bit art style for the majority of assets used in the game aswell as play the expected 8-bit style music to go along with them.
The sound track is a real standout part of the game, with great remixes of the avgn theme and orignal work that would be at home with the nes tune greats.
This game is not for everyone and it should be advised that although no required, a gamepad makes the game SO MUCH BETTER.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. One more theme was raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and is not shown.
