Some characters are just miserable to play, which while subjective, kind of ruins more than you might think since in order to unlock their paws (augments that you can pick on future runs), you have to first play and win a whole run with them.
The framework of this game is perfect, music and comic design are on point, it's just that the practical gameplay design itself is lacking in practical and visual variety and the lack of motivation to strive for something long term.
Even in visuals, it's cute but very, very simple.
The only good thing is the music and comic art design.
