The world building and story does not rely on subtle references to be good, and the thing that got me by surprise the most is how the game doesn't shy away from it's self-proclaimed "Dark Fantasy" genre.

The voice acting was top notch from all of the VA's, both for the regular Kamitsubaki talents and the additional game characters, which certainly also helped make the plot very addicting.
