The controls are nice and each new skills adds a lot to your mobility and damage but they don't really offer enough to provide the possibility of multiple playstyles until very late game. the platforming is quite challenging but also very forgiving in deadly areas via re-spawn.

The graphics are decent for what it is; it's not a very colorful game as the originals were, but the environments are varied enough and actually DO have different marked color schemes to make them easier to make out (the sewers having lots of greens, the temple browns, the factory blues, military areas being reddish, etc).
