What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The ending itself... well, it's clearly meant to be symbolic of something, and maybe I don't get it, but it was pretty underwhelming.
While its true that the gameplay resembles a watered-down version of those games, having only one weapon (the broom) with underwhelming upgrades and very few mechanics, rating this game based on mechanics alone would be a huge disservice.
+ Art, music, sound effects, VFX and the dialogues that goes with it work very well together, forming a cohesive and memorable whole
The soul of this game is very unique, the atmosphere, dialogs, sounds, music and art style all fit together incredibly well.
I would recommend playing with a NES/SNES style gamepad (i used joytokey), it's very fitting for this game.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 4 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
