What players think
The recurring themes across 151 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Watching internal politics unfold, sometimes in ways that disrupt your grand plans, gives the game a living, breathing quality that makes each campaign feel distinct.
1) For a 2008 Game, Graphics should've been better.
This is easily one of my favourite games: the soundtrack is SUPERB and there are several layers of complexity that take much time to really understand; every playthrough is slightly different because of the randomness of characters and the chance of civil wars; and there is more: there are mods, the magnificent Wiz's mod called Reign of the Ancient, which makes the vanilla game 10 times better, way more realistic and harder.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway.
