What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The game is undeniably long, with story mode easily clocking in at over 20 hours.
Regular multiplayer works fine but still sometimes unsyncs and causes the last save to be reloaded.
EVEN IF your friends aren't ultra-competitive or hostile or whatever, the game can and will find ways PURELY WITH RNG to stomp on you and all your friends. ultimately this is a good thing because for a monopoly-type game, it doesn't fall into the pitfall of "if one person gets too far ahead of everyone/too rich then it's pointless to keep playing because they're just gonna jerk themselves off the rest of the game and win at the end". there is a good chance that RNG will randomly trip them up OR AT LEAST give you enough time to execute them yourself. this as well as the high likelihood of your friends betraying you ensures a consistent amount of chaos that means the gameplay doesn't get boring and it's very fun. there are ways to get your wealth back quickly and ways to lose it again quickly too, it goes from 0-100 very fast so you never know what's coming.
As you play through chapters they give you a reason to venture into the dungeons and introduce the 8 areas with increasing difficulty, new equipment, and new stronger monsters than the last.
While it doesn’t boast cutting-edge graphics, its colorful, cartoonish aesthetic fits the lighthearted tone perfectly.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
