The characters are pretty diverse (gender, sexuality, interests, quirks), and part of the fun is seeing the chaos (intentional or unintentional) that ensues from your choices.
But for the price point... its well polished, I only hit one progression bug that required me to reset a day, it oozes with style, and it kept me interested long enough to actually finish it which I am notoriously bad at!
I doubt anyone will have trouble with the awesome neon-and-pastel drenched Y2K graphics either, even on a potato. :D
The soundtrack is lively and will stick in your head even after you close the game.
