If the encounters were toned down, plot and/or history expanded upon, a more engaging turn based combat system, more save points/less one-hit kill area, a minimap, it'd be a whole lot better.
Opening chests in Evoland quickly provides permanent enhancements to the world whether it's improved graphics, music, features, or even something as simple as being able to move left.
No voice acting at all (perfectly fine though, didn't need it).
