Grey Area

the platforming is really difficult, but also really fun when you can meet the game where it's at. like, there will be plenty of times where you hold a dive too long and run into an enemy, then the knockback throws you right into a bottomless pit. but the checkpoint is never too far back!

despite the rough edges, if you're a platformer fan i do recommend checking this out. i love the game's character and tone, and the platforming is satisfying enough to offset the frustration (for me at least). i'm excited to see the rest of hailey's story, and looking forward to what these devs put together in the future!

I played on the normal difficulty and found it a satisfying challenge, even if some of the later stages got stingy with the checkpoints at the same time they got generous with the instant death pits.

the graphics are pretty good, i don't really have any comments about the music because i was too focused on trying not to die from holding one of the directional keys for a frame too long or not being able to cancel my dive early enough to avoid falling off a platform. i do genuinely think this could be a good game if it was given a bit more polish.
