On the one hand, it has arguable the greatest melee combat system ever made, some of the best performances, some of the best world design, some of the best animations and some of the best lighting in a game, however, on the other has big problems with pacing and tone.
The sound design nails it too—music swells perfectly, and every hit sounds meaty and satisfying.
It’s a shame, because this is a gorgeous game that deserves better optimization.
Playing with a DualSense controller on PC made the experience even better.
