The recurring themes across 285 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
Shogun Showdown also has a surprising amount of replayability despite it's simple mechanics.
The method of combat used in the game also commands respect.
The music is funky, the art style is very charming, the enemies are interesting and balanced, and the battle mechanic is very unique and fun.
I'm definitely excited for when the alpha characters get added to this version and what more is planned to be added.
As others mentioned, the soundtrack, sound effects, visuals etc. are looking really good!
