as far as good game mechanics for language learning and in the game itself there are a lot that make it shine. it has a streak mechanism where you get a gold star each day that you complete the three tasks which are to identify 5 new nouns, have 1 conversation with a person in the town, and to do revision flash cards based on the nouns you already identified in past gaming sessions.

the art style is great. it's a little clunky at first play but after a few minutes you get to explore a neat little town and bring it to life from drab colourless grey to coloured as you identify new nouns.
