What players think
The recurring themes across 300 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
The story mode is probably more fun if you know the characters, but I barely know the Uma's besides the more known ones like Haru, Oguri Cap, Gold Ship, etc.
I wanted to love this game, but this seems like a money grab.
While the graphics and styling of the game is charming and enjoyable, and there's a couple of great fanservice pieces, the game itself is unbearably boring and should not be purchased.
In order to make custom teams, you have to grind lots of gold to buy the team slots, then go into a separate menu to put your Umas into teams and save them, then finally they will be selectable as an extra slot during character selection.
The soundtrack complements the aesthetic well with upbeat, synth-infused tracks and charming sound effects.
That, and online is pretty dead, but it's solid enough solo and probably pretty fun in co-op.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 2 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
