What players think
The recurring themes across 267 analysed reviews: what players praise, what divides them, and what to know.
I've been 2 hours in and there's quite some puzzles to solve, the characters and their abilities you can pick has good uses in different situations.
The Devourer: Hunted Souls is one of the scariest, and most interesting co-op horror games we have ever played.
❎ Fair: Basic gameplay, lacks innovation, some issues.
The graphics and sound design in The Devourer are subpar at best.
I had a good time playing multiplayer with a friend last night, though we didn't get very far.
The puzzles are really fun, perfectly balanced between too easy and too hard, aswell as every puzzle felt like a natural neccessity to progress the story forwards, and not something you were forced to do, just to add some gameplay to the game.
Theme by theme
Every theme is scored by what reviewers actually said about it, not just whether they recommended the game.
No themes split opinion in this sample.
Ranked by how many sampled reviews mention each topic. A topic sits in a column by what reviewers said about that topic; the percentage beside it is how many of them recommended the game anyway. 3 more themes were each raised by fewer than 6 sampled reviews and are not shown.
