Its gameplay is simple and yet so fun, you and everybody else have the same weapon and require skill to win the game and not money (in game and irl) or lvl ups to be the best. there are many community made maps and gamemodes to choose from too!

Also, Obstacle is probably the best (singleplayer) movement based ego shooter gamemode of all time and the game is worth getting just for that mode (the learning curve is steep though).
